KIDS QUILTS
Thank you to everyone for turning in such wonderful quilts! Your talents and imagination are really outstanding and the quilts are all so beautiful.
So far this year we have 99 quilts and they will make some children very happy. Last years total was 191. Lets hope we can beat the number this year and reach over 200 again.
We had a great time at the all day sew for Kids Quilts after the last meeting. There were about 8 ladies who brought their machines and we got quite a bit accomplished.
Come join us the next time for lots of fun and fellwoship while we work on Kids Quilts!
If you are interested in making a Kids Quilt, we have kits put together for you to sew. We also have fabric, batting and backing. Just let me know what you need.
All you need to do is donate your time in sewing a quilt and get as creative as you would like.
When you have a quilt complete, could you please put your name on a piece of paper and pin it to the quilt. I would appreciate that very much.
THANK YOU LADIES FOR YOUR DEDICATION TO SPREADING COMFORT TO THOSE IN NEED.
The Fons & Porter magazine subscription offer is still available
for new subscriptions and renewals.
This is a great way for guilds to make extra money for special projects.
If you
wish to bring refreshments please do so. Don't forget to clean everything up and put everything away before you leave, unless you plan on coming back to clean up.
Use a scant cup of coffee grounds for every 20 cups. Set a second pot, water only for tea. Do you have a favorite coffee cup or mug? Bring it along to use at meetings.
We will be saving our environment by not throwing out so many styrofoam cups (considering they aren't recyclable).
